Hey everyone, I don’t usually post about my life here but this is a call for help as I’m in a really bad financial spot right now.
My partner and I have been working extremely hard selling our old collectibles online, trying to get our names legally changed, trying to learn how to sell merch of my art and run a store, etc. We’re both autistic, adhd and transgender + deal with various mental health issues.
My partner’s name change is proving to be a difficult process as we don’t have money for it and we need to get the fees waived which apparently might require ID but both of our IDs are expired. And she can’t emotionally afford to get a job with her deadname like she used to after having gone by a new name for this long now. And buying IDs with the wrong name just to get the name change fees waived and then buy new IDs again would for obvious reasons be very not ideal. We barely scraped by paying our November rent extremely late with money from selling our old collectibles and maxing out my partner’s credit card. But it’s December 1st now and we need to start figuring out this month’s rent and next months rent + any additional costs of getting back on our feet.
I’ve been working on finding ways to make ethically sourced apparel with my prints/designs + other goodies, but so far I’ve only figured out sticker printing. I’ll be working hard to learn how to make a website + make cool designs for everyone in the future to hopefully make a more a sustainable income but now I can no longer afford to put all my focus on that and need to take on as many commissions as I can to stay afloat.
